The Tour de France and the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift depart, Grande-Bretagne in July 2027.

For the first time in Tour de France and Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift history, both Grand Départs are coming to Great Britain!

From Edinburgh to Cardiff, Leeds to London, expect a sporting event like no other when cycling takes over in 2027.

A once-in-a-generation celebration

For the first time since 2014’s unforgettable Grand Départ in Yorkshire, cycling’s biggest race returns to Great Britain. With six stages across two races covering Scotland, Wales and England, millions are expected to line the streets to see the world’s best in action.

Stage 1

From Edinburgh the opening stage will head through Midlothian and the Scottish Borders, tackling the day’s sole king of the mountains climb on the Côte de Melrose amidst the Eildon Hills. Tracing the Scottish / English border along Liddesdale, the route briefly dips into Dumfries & Galloway before crossing into Cumberland, where the opening stage finish awaits in Carlisle, outside the city's medieval castle.

Stage 2

The second stage will begin in Keswick in the heart of the Lake District National Park, heading south alongside Thirlmere, Grasmere, Rydal Water and Windermere and skirting the Morecambe Bay coastline, before heading to the Lancashire fells via Lancaster and the Côte de Jubilee Tower.

Stage 3

The third and final day of the Tour de France 2027 Grand Départ will take place in Wales, for a challenging leg south from Welshpool in Powys to the finish in Cardiff.

Stage 1

Starting from the Headrow in central Leeds – just as the men’s peloton did in 2014, the first ever Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift stage to be held in Britain.

Stage 2

Stage two will feature approaching 3,000 metres of climbing as riders travel from Manchester to Sheffield.

Stage 3

The third and final day of the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift Grand Départ will see riders tackling team time trial passing many of the capital’s popular landmarks, with hundreds of thousands of fans expected to line the route close to prominent locations such as the Houses of Parliament, London Eye and Tower Bridge.
