Find out more about Grands Départs at King’s Cross on Thursday!

As the Tour de France builds towards its climax this weekend, Londoners can get a taste of the world’s greatest cycle race at King’s Cross railway station on Thursday (23 July) and find out more about next year’s historic British Grands Départs.

London will host the third stage of the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift – on Sunday 1 August 2027 – and to celebrate this Grand Départ GB organisers will have a promotional stand on the main concourse at King’s Cross railway station, from 7am to 7pm on Thursday.

The activation gives people a chance to find out more information on next year’s men’s and women’s Grands Départs, and to discover how they can get involved by being a volunteer JOY Maker. There will also be kid’s activities on offer, facilitated by members of the JOY social impact team, with colouring sheets and stickers to take away.

For anyone who visits the activation, Zwift are giving fans the chance to hop on the Zwift Ride and test the platform. Zwift will also giving away limited edition Watch The Femmes merchandise to celebrate the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift. You’ll have to get there early though, as quantities are strictly limited.

Also attending will be professional cyclists Tamsin Miller and Alice McWilliam from the Zwift-backed DAS–Hutchinson team, which is set to compete at the Lloyds Tour of Britain Women (19–23 August). Miller is an experienced time trial specialist who has represented the team at UCI races across Europe, whilst McWilliam brings a wealth of international racing experience, having competed in UCI Women’s WorldTour races, and is a punchy rider with a proven sprint.

“Over the past three weeks we have had thousands of members of the public visit the Grand Départ stand at Edinburgh Waverley, Cardiff Central, and Manchester Piccadilly to find out more and to register as a JOY Maker. We are now looking forward to being in London, where next year fans will have the chance to see the first ever team time trial in the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift, which will be a spectacular way to complete the 2027 Grands Départs.”
