Edinburgh Grand Départ opening ceremony now sold out

Thanks to the incredible interest in the opening ceremony for the 2027 Tour de France Grand Départ – produced by The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo – general sale tickets to the seated area within the Edinburgh Castle esplanade, are now sold out.

Fans will still be able to join in the spectacle of the presentation of the riders, free-of-charge and with no ticket required, as all 184 riders in the 114th Tour de France will make their way from Holyrood Palace up the Royal Mile to Edinburgh Castle as a feature of the opening ceremony, which will take place on the evening of Wednesday 30 June.

Plans for the opening celebrations ahead of the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift Grand Départ in Leeds will be announced in the coming months.
